about us
Creative Home Initiative is a community-driven arts and workforce development program that provides emerging storytellers from historically underrepresented communities with paid, hands-on creative experience, mentorship, and career support. Launched through the production of the feature film Paper Cranes and operating under fiscal sponsorship, the initiative offers a month-long paid creative access, on-set training across multiple departments, mental health-integrated professional development, and seed micro-grants that help participants launch their own projects. Our mission is to expand access to the arts, support youth mental health and emotional resilience, and build a safe, ethical, community-centered space where young BIPOC, female-identifying, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized creatives can gain real opportunities in an industry that has historically shut many voices out.
